That's also how I read that to mean.

Bella at incgamers posted an overview of her trip, but says she will give more details in separate articles. Hopefully, one of them will be on WoC. All she said about it so far is they were in teams of eight and started from Sunjiang District. If anyone is a member there, please, please ask her to elaborate.

Hence the uncheck .
Sounds like Stumme is doing some really technical stuff. I've liked everything he's done so far, and I love Cantha, so I'm waiting with great anticipation for this.
P.S. Weddings don't often just spring up out of the ground, so I'm sure there's a plan to work around his time off, and we wish him the best .

There is most definitely a plan in place. Originally, that plan was "Let the Live Team roam free, and nature will take its course." For various reasons, that plan was scrapped. Just think about it - what would happen if team members were to run wild, and end up with their own memes/motivational posters? Then Colin and I would end up with further competition.
So we ended up going with a better plan: the team is going to start work on "something neat" while I'm away. The something neat will not be made with macramé, however. We're not good enough at it (yet.)

woah woah woah, hold up there sir. Colin is the top of the list for those posters, you're behind Martin and just barely pulling ahead of Ree, but she has a lot of support coming from ActionJack's comics where she is queen bee. You need to have some more material before you start grouping yourself with the master of darkness, smiles, and redundancy.
Anyway...what's with that NPC wielding a fan as a primary weapon and a dagger in place of an off-hand?

Just call him the Bus Driver, because he's taking us to school. Best wishes again on the wedding and thanks for Guild Wars 1 and 2.

From what I understood it is going to be NPCs interacting with the world. For example a scene will be like the Shining Blade camp, or Thackaray outside Eye of the North. Something where NPC(s) appear in the world based on which quests you've completed (or not).
These NPCs will then have conversations about the reason they're there or something so if you stop and 'listen' you'll be able to get more depth in the world.

The quest(s) they did were killing Afflicted in KC sewers, so no jade or amber drops.

I meant uses as in used to craft new weapons or items.... i guess they didn't show new items?... because that would making jumping on a mat price spike like what happened with rubies and sapphires to easy?

They just played one or two quests, so no. If anyone had seen something like that they'd have said so.

It's great that John posted but it would have been nice if he posted when we can expect to see WoC. Originally I believe he said June and Thursday is the last day of June. I have this sinking feeling we're not getting it this week.

Actualy he just said "something exciting coming in June". It could be the PvP update (zaishen strongbox and so on), his "bachelor party" (several weeks before his wedding it seems appropriate), a "macramé contest", or anything else....

There you go. We had some pretty cool things happen this month: a major PvP update, fan appreciation day, getting to show off Winds of Change, and so on. Not so much with a bachelor party though - Mhenlo showed up, and at that point, the only thing that it really can be is a Mhenlo Party.
That being said, people should see Winds of Change before I leave for vacation.
